Meet the Artist — Donna Foley

Local weaver Donna Foley, author of “Local Color: Dye Plants of the Gila Region,” will be at the GCAG Gallery to discuss her work on Friday, April 5, from 5-7pm. Foley will display examples of native plants she collects for natural dyes, and will be available to talk about her “farm to gallery” experiences raising sheep, processing and dying their wool, and using the wool to weave tapestries and a variety of wearables. Donna Foley weavings are on display at the gallery.  The GCAG Gallery shows the work of 35 local artists working in a wide range of mediums.
